Take This Step For Yourself
Life comes with a lot of moving parts and sometimes stressful and challenging experiences. In these moments, we can have the tendency to put our needs and self-care to the side. What if we took that time back and put it towards supporting ourselves and our well-being? Let’s explore together what building a healthy relationship with yourself could become. Let’s develop a safe space for growth and reflection. This space provides support for trauma healing, relationship challenges, burnout, anxiety, depression and other obstacles that are thrown your way.
I am currently accepting new clients and now offer both In Person and Online sessions! In addition, both restorative and yin yoga can be incorporated into our work together to help strengthen the mind/body connection and heal.
Services
I embrace a person-centered approach and I put a huge emphasis in building a collaborative relationship with my clients. There is not a “one-size fits all” when it comes to therapy, so it would not make sense to only use one therapeutic approach. I feel it is extremely important to continuously check in, adapt and evaluate with each other as we go through this journey together. Support for trauma healing, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, burnout and other mental health concerns are provided either in-person or online.
“We all have our own story that shapes who we are today and who we will be tomorrow. I want to support people in finding their strength from different experiences and help to foster positive growth and resilience.“

Amanda Mauro, MA
I am a firm believer that we are the product of all of our experiences, both good and bad, and the individuals whose paths cross with ours throughout our life. We all have our own story that shapes who we are today and who we will be tomorrow. I want to be able to support people to find their strength from different experiences and help to foster positive growth and resilience.

Testimonials
“Probably the biggest insight is that happiness is not just a place, but also a process…
Happiness is an ongoing process of fresh challenges”
Developing Self-Love
“When we started, it was really hard for me to actually talk about the thing I decided to start therapy for – my self-harm behaviour. But you were kind and warm and understanding and made me feel very safe. So I felt like I could tell you even my darkest thoughts (as cliche as that sounds) without judging, the opposite, we used them for constructive introspective work and understanding some of my destructive behaviour. For me, our sessions meant one hour a week, where I really only focused on myself without feeling guilty. A little self-care package ;). What really stayed with me from our sessions is understanding the pattern of my self-sacrifice behaviour but more importantly, a feeling of worthiness that seems to be stuck in the back of my mind since we went through some of my issues and makes a big difference when I am feeling down.”- M
Gaining Control
“A few years I was sexually assault. I have struggled to heal from this experience. This assault has made its way into all aspects of my life. I began therapy hoping to find some little ounce of relief and instead I found a new sense of control. I have learned to heal from my assault and how to grow from my strength. Amanda has helped me to feel grounded and in control of my life again. I appreciate how Amanda incorporates new techniques into our sessions; I feel heard and listened to with her.” – A
Empowerment
“I have been working with Amanda for several months now and she has helped me to find balance in my life; both personally and professionally. I feel safe and comfortable speaking with her and look forward to our sessions. One of the main areas I wanted to work on was building healthy boundaries and finding my voice. I feel empowered by our work together.”- J
